Leipziger Messe withdraws GCA
LEIPZIG, Germany and SINGAPORE - March 19, 2010 -In view of the overall currently prevailing economic situation, Leipziger Messe is withdrawing from its involvement with the Games Convention Asia. "It is a regrettable, but necessary decision", says the managing director of LMI Asia, subsidiary of Leipziger Messe International (LMI), Joerg Zeissig. "We will continue to keep an eye on the Asian games market so that we can pick up again with new concepts if this becomes appropriate."
The GCA and its accompanying developers conference was held in Singapore from 2007 to 2009. The most recent event registered 80 exhibitors and 102,500 visitors.
